A little help could change lives

The Social Studies Department of Camarin High School is presently developing a Learning Center. It will be a venue of learning as it will house books and other reading materials that will help instill love for reading and appreciation of history among the students.

If you have old books, magazines, pictures, maps, calendars, paintings, carvings, coins, flags, pamphlets, brochures, workbooks, modules and other visual aids that can help make this Learning Center a more enjoyable place to go, I will be more than willing to accept it as your gift of learning. Please post a comment on my profile if you are willing to contribute to the success of this project.

Rest assured that your learning materials will go directly to our foremost beneficiaries, the students.

Thank you in advance for your support. God bless!

AN APPEAL TO ALL CAMARIN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI

AN APPEAL TO ALL CAMARIN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI

Dear Fellow CHS Alumni and Batch Groups:

Our Alma Mater, the Camarin High School is continuously growing in population. It is now serving an approximately eight thousand (8,000) students from Camarin and nearby areas such as Bagong Silang and Tala. Our Alma Mater served us well. What we are at present, our jobs, professions, our business, however humble it is we owe it to Camarin High School and its faculty that selflessly nurtured us, despite meager salaries and financial gains. Now is the time to look back, share a little and help.

We are fortunate that the Alumni Association is taking a swing in organizing itself and the assistance that we, alumni can extend to our alma mater. One of the goals of Camarin High School Alumni Association is to help Camarin High School in achieving academic excellence. One way of achieving excellence is to promote the well being of students and teachers because a factor that impairs learning is poor health.

Hence, we will conduct a medical and dental mission on November 15, 2008, Saturday from 8am to 1 pm. A pool of doctors and dentists from alumni and families/friends of alumni volunteered to assist us in this mission. Solicitations for medical supplies and medicines are on-going. We are targeting to serve 1,000 patients including senior citizens from Camarin.

In this line, we are humbly requesting your batch to donate at least One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) to cover for food of doctors and volunteers and other needs for the medical mission. Donation from your batch will help us in promoting wellness of the Camarin High School community.

You can course through your donations to your batch coordinators or at Camarin High School , in the care of Mr. Jose Aleja and Ms, Espie Gulapa. For other information, you can communicate with: Ms. Bayan at 0918-497-8716, 962-9839, bayanabrahamsr@ yahoo.com. ph; Ms. Rebete at 0906-497-9818, jhecydear@yahoo. com, and Mr. Aleja/Camarin High School at 926-6264, 0921-311-6083.

We still have so much to do to assist Camarin High School in achieving its objectives. Let us unite and build solidarity in putting Camarin High School in the frontline of schools achieving academic excellence in Caloocan City and in the Philippines .

Sincerely,

Jesusa I. Rebete Rocelia P. Bayan Mr. Jose Aleja Jr.
